Let me preface myself. I am a Cameroonian and professor of French, Philosophy and classics. My principal language is French, but knows and speak with equal strength German, Italian, Greek, English and Spanish. I left Cameroon on account of my ideas and life given a hard time by the Cameroonian ruling class. Remaining faithful to my profession as an intellectual, I have been awakening, and I am awakening and I will still awaken the consciousness of Cameroonians and the rest of humanity to stand against despotism and all sorts of illusions that are an anchor weighing down Cameroonians and the rest of African humanity, because the collective consciousness of Cameroonians and the rest of Africans is not sufficiently coherent, educated and ripe enough to stand against political illusions and opinions. My position has been that of their deconstruction, subjecting political hawks to exposure. I escaped assassination only by the narrowest of margins. Thanks to the humanity of Americans I was awarded a scholar rescue Fund Fellowship to enable me continue my work outside the Cameroonian academia, although I have not found a suitable institution to work for the money awarded me(but I feel Buffalo will be a suitable one), I am currently a visiting professor and researcher in South Africa. Also thank Americans and the British for awarding me accolades for my poetic artistry four times since 2002.On the side of affectivity, the stuff I am made of is that of a keenness of mind, reason, moderation, wisdom and intelligence. Do not misunderstand me; by intelligence here I do not mean the intelligence of a foxy mind, let alone the intelligence of a bookish mind, but the intelligence emanating from a clear and lucid observation, where I personally find security, for this intelligence itself is my security. This intelligence therefore is a penetrating vision, openness, and total perception which is a synonym for compassion. This intelligence of the heart makes me see reality with clarity, therefore I do not impose anything, run away from anything, does not seek to compensate anything, I leave everything to be, to blossom, to move spontaneously. This is what I view as a femininine direction to life. But I often see people write, especially women, that they have got terrible experiences regarding men and vice versa, using thought (memory, the known) to seek men and vice versa. But I ask myself how can a man or a woman be abandoned if he or she were gifted, understanding and better prepared? Perhaps as an ex-seminarian and Philosopher I am naïve, but no one is able fight reality.
